More about Amaryllis Lily Essence
Amaryllis Lily blooms during the driest, hottest part of the summer, long after her spring leaves have lost their flush of life and crumpled back to the Earth. She steps out of these old clothes and stands bared in all her beauty, unselfconscious and unapologetic, earning her the fitting moniker Naked Lady Lily. (And she is a She . . . she is the Divine Feminine embodied, the Pink Ray of Divine Love come to Earth to press her lips to the foreheads of willing hearts.)
What does it mean to be truly naked? To shed our outmoded skin and leave it on the bank of our previous identity, to dive into the sea of self-truth with nothing but our heart’s nectar, requires not just courage but utter self-acceptance. Also, perhaps, acceptance of our current lives, situations, and loved ones. (Remember she is one of the few summer flowers... you don’t need others to be blooming to give yourself permission to do so!) In this vein, Amaryllis Lily can also address anger, the sort of anger where all of the little things are driving one crazy because none of the big things are getting addressed. If we are choosing others over ourselves, if we are filling our days with “busy-ness” in order to cultivate some sense of meaning or value, if we are denying or repressing our soul’s true needs and desires- on some level we aren’t accepting those needs or desires. Naked Lady Lily teaches this acceptance, this no-holds-barred, running across the proverbial meadow to embrace oneself, deep self-acceptance and self-love.
When we love ourselves, our ability to love others, to give and receive on both micro and macro levels, is magnified tenfold. Just as Amaryllis Lily has a cluster of flowers on one stem that open one at a time to create a stunning bouquet, this essence can open the petals of our heart chakra at a pace that is unique to us, each lovingly tended bloom revealing new layers of beauty and depth. The longer we take this essence, the more wide open, magnificent and rich our heart’s bouquet can become. We will find that our heart has an infinite number of ripe, tight buds, each waiting to unfurl to new heights of Divine Love and cosmic embodiment.
Because Amaryllis Lily blooms after the rest of the plant has already died back, there is also a quality to this essence of rising from the ashes, a phoenix-like ability to ascend from the remnants of our previous life more beautiful and empowered than ever.
